Whether you are a theist, atheist, agnostic or haven't thought about it enough to even come up with a title for what you are, the reality is that religion plays an enormous role in the way our world operates and the way people think. This course will offer a brief introduction to the history of religion in the human experience. While not exhaustive, we will discuss the origin and development of key religious ideas, religious traditions and religious expressions. This is an exercise in religious studies and not theology and so will examine these are phenomena of human experience rather than debate the validity of any one religion or understanding.
